The Super Twos featured at the pre-season Motorsport with Attitude show in Staffordshire with the cars both being on show on the Super Twos stand, and in the Live Action ‘Thunderbowl’ arena. With many drivers taking the trip up to the venue, multiple new cars were on show including #979 Seamus Cushnahan’s smartly presented car along with #761 Matthew Smith’s radical new wing design. For the Juniors, #217 Joshua Dent put his new car on show. Despite the live arena being called off after 3 shows, the Super Twos only got one run, but it was very successful in promoting the class.

The Super Twos Ventured to the Midlands, for the first time since the closure of Birmingham Wheels in October 2021, and made their debut at Hednesford Hills Raceway. With both classes, Junior and Adults, on track it was going to be a busy but eventful day. The Juniors saw heat wins for lady racers #300 Lola Jackson and #380 Nina Cayzer while local racer #217 Joshua Dent took the final, with Jackson and Cayzer filling up the podium spots. Jackson top scored that day.

#507 Jake Ashby, #2 Anya Galenski and #24 Reuben Dodson tangle with #217 Joshua Dent narrowly avoiding the trio.

Fastest Laps:

Heat 1 – #300 Lola Jackson – 19.821s

Heat 2 – #380 Nina Cayzer -18.146s

Final – #217 Joshua Dent – 18.488s

The Adult races were a different story with the lower graders being able to break away from most of the pack. #101 Michael Tidd took his maiden win in heat one with the now star graded #7 Jordan Salmon carrying his momentum from Aldershot to win the second heat. The final was a very wet affair with it also being classed as the ‘Midland Championship’. With the grid being in graded order it was going to be an interesting race. And it was with #33 Billy Fear taking his first championship by holding off the aforementioned Salmon and National Champion #32 Stewart Adams who tangled on the final lap.

#33 Billy Fear takes the 2024 Midland Championship.

Fastest Laps:

Heat 1 – #7 Jordan Salmon – 18.072s

Heat 2 – #7 Jordan Salmon – 18.169s

Midland Championship – #33 Billy Fear – 22.129s
